Turning community credibility into institutional opportunity

Lion City Parkour athletes training in an urban Singapore space

Lion City Parkour had a committed founding team and deep credibility within its community. What it lacked was reliable access to funding, venues and institutional partners capable of supporting larger events.

What was taking too much

The team repeatedly had to translate community-led ideas into the language, outcomes and delivery structures expected by institutions. Each opportunity required extensive reframing, proposal development and follow-through.

What IUWUH saw

The problem was not a lack of passion or community value. The opportunity needed to be made legible, relevant and actionable to larger organisations.

What IUWUH moved

  • Reframed activations around the objectives of prospective institutions
  • Developed partner-ready proposals
  • Guided the team through the grant process for the Asian Parkour Championships
  • Aligned opportunities with Decathlon, *SCAPE and the National Youth Council
  • Continued partner follow-through beyond the initial introduction

How the opportunity compounded

Community credibility → Institution-ready proposition → Stronger proposals → Partner confidence → Larger platforms → New audience and customer opportunities

What it unlocked

  • Institution-ready activation concepts
  • Grant-application guidance
  • Venue and ecosystem partnerships
  • A direct agreement to feature at Decathlon Sports Fest
  • Exposure to more than 5,000 event participants

The community already had the passion. We helped institutions understand how to get behind it.
